During the summer I usually like to relax at the beach all summer long! But this summer I am taking classes and are unable to relax. But its still a great situation bc I am at the beach but working hard:)
One thing that has been a hit this past year was The Cookie Thief game! All kids of all ages loved this while we worked! It was hard to get them to do anything else!!

My favorite thing to do in the summer is spend extra time with my kids and go home to visit my family.
One game I started using recently with my older elementary and middle school students is Apples to Apples Junior. It is a great tool for building expressive language skills. There is also a kids Disney version as well.

Hi Heather! My favorite thing to do during the summer months is to spend quality time with my 6 month old little boy! I have also been spending a lot of time this summer finding new therapy ideas on Pinterest! Gotta love that place 🙂

I am an SLPA student finishing up my last four classes and practicums for my certification later this fall. I’m enjoying this summer for additional reading time, following favorite blogs, researching for creative ideas to include in my SLP Tool Box, and building great contacts/networking. Enjoy the day!

Our favorite summer activity is flying by the seat of our pants. During the school year we run a tight ship, but come June we throw the schedule out the window. Go to bed later, get up later and do summer schoolwork whenever (though it must be done!). While the kids are working I gather materials for the school year…which is why I’m here!

My favourite thing to do is relax and think of more ways to introduce fun ideas to my articulation program! I try to stay away from the internet world though, as you can search for hours with so many different ideas out there!
When we make learning fun, the kids progress so much faster!

I am newly graduated and beginning my first SLP job in the fall at a local elementary school. I have been using these summer months to brush up on all my child based therapy ideas as well as looking for fun and new activities to use with my new students. I cannot wait to begin this journey!

Love your site! My favorite thing to do during the summer is sleep in and enjoy the ability to do some of those fun things or home projects that get neglected during the school year! As for work related things, I try to spend a few hours each week getting organized for the upcoming year ~ data sheets and notebooks, attendance sheets, folders, etc. It really helps!
